Description/Blazon

Shield

Argent on a bend Azure an arrow terminating in a mullet in lieu of an arrowhead in bend of the first.

Crest

That for the regiments and separate battalions of the New York Army National Guard:  On a wreath of the colors Argent and Azure, the full rigged ship "Half Moon" all Proper.

Symbolism

Shield

The white star is taken from the aircraft marking used by the organization.  The arrow, a symbol of flight and swiftness, alludes to the unit's mission to furnish command, control and communication for the Aviation Battalion.

Crest

The crest is that of the New York Army National Guard.

Background
The coat of arms was approved on 14 December 1967.  It was rescinded on 23 December 1974.

NOTE:  This unit was never authorized a distinctive unit insignia.
